Most Inspirational Award: Chew Chin Yu Renee
Creative Concept:
The entry was created by a nine‑year‑old girl under the theme ‘My Future Self Says Thank You’ to express heartfelt gratitude to her mother.
In the video, she recalls how her mother breastfed her from birth until nearly three years old.
Witnessing her mother’s daily dedication while caring for her younger sister gave her a deeper appreciation of her mother’s strength and love.
The video not only pays tribute to her mother’s perseverance, but also encourages more mothers to believe that breast milk is the most precious gift they can give their babies. It further calls on society to support breastfeeding and to stand alongside mothers throughout their journey.
Most Innovative Award: Leung Ho Tak
Creative Concept:
The entry was inspired by the real experiences of a father with his seven‑year‑old son and mother. It conveys not only his wife’s hardships, but also his deep admiration for her dedication.
Breastfeeding provides children with more than nutrition — it offers irreplaceable security and lifelong immunity. This commitment comes at the cost of a mother’s enduring patience, physical effort, and sleepless nights.
With the support of facilities and wider societal backing, this journey has been able to continue, underscoring the profound strength and significance of breastfeeding.
The winning entries not only brought diverse breastfeeding stories to forefront, but also united cross-sector support. UNICEF HK remains committed to collaborating with government, corporates and the public to promote the ‘Say Yes To Breastfeeding’ campaign, building a more inclusive and supportive environment for mothers and infants.
